The full story (for grown-ups)
Pitter-patter! Big grey clouds rolled over the jungle village. Gappu splashed in the puddles. Splish! Splash!
Then he saw Tiku, carrying a heavy basket of mangoes home — slowly, slowly — and getting very, very wet.
“Tiku will catch a cold!” thought Gappu. But the puddles were SO much fun…
Gappu stopped splashing. He picked a giant banana leaf and held it over Tiku like an umbrella.
He carried the heavy basket in his trunk too. “Thank you, Gappu,” said Tiku. “You are a real helper.”
At Tiku's house they dried off and ate juicy mangoes. Helping a friend felt even better than puddles!
Moral of the story: When we see someone who needs help, we can stop and lend a hand.
