The full story (for grown-ups)
It was Gappu's birthday! Everyone in the jungle village came to help.
Amma baked a mango cake. Mithu hung up balloons. Tiku made a card — slowly, but very carefully.
Gappu was so busy opening his presents that he forgot to say anything at all. Rip! Rip! Rip!
Mithu's feathers drooped. Tiku looked at his feet. “Did Gappu even like our surprises?” they wondered.
Gappu saw their faces. Oh! He lifted his trunk high and waved it — the Thank-You Trunk Wave! “Thank you, Amma! Thank you, Mithu! Thank you, Tiku!”
Everyone smiled their biggest smiles. Now, whenever someone helps Gappu, he does the Thank-You Trunk Wave. Can you do it too?
Moral of the story: Saying thank you shows people we noticed their kindness.
